Iraq Reviews > (Una)Musings: Iraq War Myth No.2
[(Una)Musings] They drafted a Chapter 7 resolution of the United Nations Security Council calling for the disarmament of Iraq and saying in Paragraph 14 that if Iraq complies, sanctions will be lifted. Within months of this resolution being passed--and the United States drafted and voted in favor of this resolution--within months, the President, George Herbert Walker Bush, and his Secretary of State, James Baker, are saying publicly, not privately, publicly that even if Iraq complies with its obligation to disarm, economic sanctions will be maintained until which time Saddam Hussein is removed from power.

If the people learned the Truth about NESARA, they would demand its enforcement.

The scenario also incorporates the assumption that units deployed toIraq would operate at the same pace and conduct the same types of missions as theforces currently deployed there.

End Stop Loss Now: Please end the “stop-loss” policy and let those who have served and met their contractual obligations to the U.S. Army out so that they can go on with their lives. This policy has affected over 70,000 soldiers and their families.
[EFFin' Unsound] EFFin' Unsound » Blog Archive » Lost in the Middle East Mindfuck: Making fun of Lew is always a little bit tricky for someone like myself. He’s a Veitnam Veteran and he clearly loves our country. But Al Qaeda is an enemy that he just doesn’t understand. As much as I support his right to say all the complete nonsense he wants, I find it necessary to point out how absurd his notions are of how to defeat this group. Al Qaeda is an organization rooted in a belief that gets stronger whenever you can convince people in the Middle East that America is a dangerous force encroaching on their turf. Sometimes, it’s worth encroaching on Middle East turf, sometimes it’s not. But what Ron Paul had to explain to that buffoon Giuliani last week is that the major reason they attack us is because we’re over there. Believing that the way to defeat them is to never retreat is such a horrendous strategy that it might be a sign of mental illness.
[OPEN ANTHROPOLOGY] Whitewashing a U.S. War Crime in Afghanistan: The Trial of Don ...: Finally, I will respectfully disagree with John on the final section of his article, not necessarily on a factual basis, but for reinforcing the one-sided attention to women’s rights that has become the standard for the war in Afghanistan, as if violence and discrimination against women, including the many reports of violent sexual assaults within the U.S. military itself, not to mention gay bashing (both literal and otherwise), were somehow alien to the U.S. Paula Loyd did not need to travel to Afghanistan to encounter gender discrimination. Paula Loyd did not need to travel to Afghanistan to “help improve people’s lives.”
[Latest Activity on Israel Insider] Michael Freund: Bush's December surprise - Israel Insider: After all, it was just six years ago, back on June 24, 2002, that Bush gave a major speech at the White House articulating his firm support for the creation of "Palestine." After calling for a new Palestinian leadership to replace Yasser Arafat, Bush declared that "when the Palestinian people have new leaders, new institutions and new security arrangements with their neighbors, the United States of America will support the creation of a Palestinian state."
[ProCon.org] Timeline, 1990 - 2008 - US - Iraq - ProCon.org: President Bush, in his 2003 State of the Union address, talks of disarming Iraq: "The United States will ask the UN Security Council to convene on Feb. the 5th to consider the facts of Iraq's ongoing defiance of the world...But let there be no misunderstanding: If Saddam Hussein does not fully disarm, for the safety of our people and for the peace of the world, we will lead a coalition to disarm him."

The Project On Government Oversight (POGO) Blog: It appears clear and unmistakeable there must be Accountability and that seemingy appears necessary for this recent Financial concern, the Enron Financial concern, The Savings and Loan Concern and the Legislation and Executive Authority that has made and allowed these applications for many decades and without the where applicable and necessary prosecutions and impeachments and review for the withdrawel of the prohibitive unwarrented pardons and for the hopefully proper and forthright reperation and resolves that are expected, needed and mandated by the proper and forthright interpretation of our Laws and within proper and forthright Oversight and Accountability within our US Constitution and Democracy within the proper and forthright application of our US Laws.
