Iraq Reviews > Troops I do NOT support

http://jpsgoddamnblog.blogspot.com [Blog and Tan] An American soldier, later charged in one of the civilian-murder incidents, speaking to a reporter before the incident he is alleged to be involved in: "I came over here because I wanted to kill people...Over here, killing people is like squashing an ant. I mean, you kill somebody and it's like 'All right, let's go get some pizza.'"Before I go any further, let me make clear that in no way do I consider this guy to be typical of our forces.

[Spleenville.com] Tim Blair: Comment on <a href="http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003 ...: But if the Danish pizza-maker had been anti-war, and had refused service to Americans, he would never have been arrested, and all these people who condemn him now for "discrimination" would make him a folk hero, like that arsonist French "farmer" who still hasn't been arrested and continues to be acclaimed at French protests. As for Mork's comment, I don't know what the law is in Denmark, but in the US, in fact, a private person has a perfect right to discrminate, for whatever reason -- it's his constitutional right not to associate with those he doesn't wish to associate with (freedom of association included not associating).

[Penguinsix.com] PenguinSix.com: War and High Politics Archives: This reminds me of a story that ran a few months ago when a mid-level Iraqi manager had to make a decision on which security company he was going to hire to protect his oil well. He said ""not my decision--Baghdad will tell me."" The American civil affairs advisor said ""Baghdad is no more--make the decision yourself."" The poor middle-manager was totally lost.
