[Stop The Spirit Of Zossen] The TEAM C Report December 20, 2006 MEMORANDUM To: BLETCHLEY III WORKING GROUP cc: C. DeMuth, M. Wurmser, B. Netanyahu, F. Hiatt From: Team C re: After Action Analysis Date: 12/20/06 _______________________________________ I. SUMMARY You tasked us to analyze why the mission to save the Realm and promote the American Empire failed. We believe the essential premises to be sound. There can be no accomodation with the Arab mind and Palestinian parasites until they learn fear, humiliation and obediance through force of arms. Nothing has changed the correctness of our diagnosis. American society was not up to the historical task assigned to it because of its essential decadence and political instability due to overreliance on consent and demos. [Messopotamian.blogspot.com] THE MESOPOTAMIAN: . Saddam realized very clearly what was going to happen and had no illusions about it. You must give him at least credit for that. If you saw him those days in public appearances he seemed to be almost in a trance. For someone like me who had the misfortune to observe this man for many years, it was clear to me personally that he was in a state of total despair and a kind of fatalist acceptance of his fate. So indeed, he was planning for the aftermath about which he had no illusions, for quite sometime before 2003. Thus, the presence of Al-Qaeda types, the Zarqawis and their alliance with the baathists were prepared carefully long before the events of April 2003. I remember one enterprising Iraqi standing in the famous Ferdos Square with a satellite phone charging a dollar a minute to use it and a long line of people waiting to pay. We could wade into the crowds of people in front of the Palestine and Sheraton hotels, who came seeking various kinds of help from the soldiers surrounding the buildings housing journalists and contractors, and interviewing anyone without fear, openly telling them I was an American reporter.
[Americanthinker.com] American Thinker: Democrats' Bait and Switch Election Strategy: The removal of troops, though, could cause the opposite and render it tougher for the Iraqi government (even with much U.S. assistance) to rebuild the nation's infrastructure and to train a worthwhile military and police force--particularly if other nations, including those of the region, do not become more involved in repairing Iraq. These opinions espoused by the Washington editor of one of the most liberal magazines in America were the byproduct of a breakfast meeting that incoming Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) hosted for reporters on Thursday shortly before the House vote on Hoyer.
