[euphoricreality.net] Families United for Our Troops and Their Mission is a grassroots coalition of military families and Americans proud of the men and women in uniform and who are dedicated to honoring them. As we remember the third anniversary of Iraq’s liberation on April 9th, these families are delivering a message to members of the mainstream media asking them to tell both sides of the story when it comes to the War on Terror - including the incredible progress our troops are making.

Fausta's blog: If, Zawahiri instructed his lieutenant, al Qaeda's strategy for Iraq and elsewhere were to succeed, it would have to take into account the growing thirst among many Arabs for democracy and a normal life, and strive not to alienate popular opinion through such polarizing deeds as suicide attacks on fellow Muslims. Only by harnessing popular support, Zawahiri concluded, would it be possible to come to power by means of democracy itself, thereby to establish jihadist rule in Iraq, and then to move onward to conquer still larger and more distant realms and impose the writ of Islam far and wide. Love America First: The Iraqi Perspectives Project is "an unclassified historical report in book form on the Iraqi view of coalition military operations conducted in Iraq." Published in book form by the U.S. Joint Forces Commands Joint Center for Operational Analysis, the project "the perspectives of the Iraqi civilian and military leadership involved in major combat operations gathered through interviews conducted during the fall and winter of 2003/2004, and an extensive review of Iraqi historical documents done in the months since then." Warm 'n Fuzzy Conserva-Puppies: In retrospect three of the decisive weapons of victory in Iraq will have been the 190 military transition teams which raised the new Iraqi Army, the Transitional Administrative Law which made a new coalition government possible, and the US Armed Forces itself, which held up the shield behind which the training and political components could take shape. It now seems fairly clear that many of the 'far better' strategies which were suggested in 2004 and 2005 in place of CENTCOM's may not have been as good as they were made out to be. (via Cosmos)

[GOPInsight.com] A Nation-wide Illegal Immigrant Demonstration... : The leftist media have tried to portray this weekends massive protests against House measures to curtail illegal immigration as the uprising of “The Other America”: forgotten, humble, hidden Hispanic members of the working poor simply demanding their “rights.” As events spanned from California to Detroit, Phoenix to Washington, D.C., the media kept up its anti-enforcement drumbeat. Although some have credited Latino DJs for the 500,000-strong illegal immigrant turnout in Los Angeles alone - and some credit is deserved - the real legwork was done by a more eclectic group of organizations: leftist labor unions, George Soros-funded agitators, Open Borders lobbyists, Roman Catholic clergy, and teachers unions.

[Afamilyinbaghdad.blogspot.com] A Family in Baghdad: The true Iraqi is that who lived inside, who suffered from the wars of Saddam Hussein, and lost his loved ones in those wars, the true Iraqi suffered from the blockade, hunger, and poverty, lived through the last war, witnessed the devastation, ruin, and killing, and remained independent, far away from politics, sad, dazed because of what is happening around him. One who is trying laboriously to remain alive with his family, away from violence and murder, one who did not join with Saddam Hussein or the occupation forces in hurting his neighbors and his people, who wasn't persuaded by all the poisons that were broadcasted by the occupation, when they divided the people, and planted in their minds the love of revenge, and the acceptance of sectarianism and racism
[Michellemalkin.com] Michelle Malkin: In one example, Maxwell said, the agency employed an Iraqi-born U.S. citizen suspected of being a foreign intelligence agent to review asylum applications. "These breaches compromise virtually every part of the immigration system itself, leaving vulnerabilities that have been and likely are being exploited by criminals and adversaries of the United States," Maxwell said.
