[Erick's blog] Evan Bayh to Retire | Erick's blog: Bayh leaving obviates that argument, it is probably better to have a Senator who could be in the body for 20+ years as a solid conservative compared to one who is, at best, a two termer. So assuming then Democrats don’t get somebody competitive in, not a big risk considering they only have today and tomorrow to get enough signatures in to qualify for the ballot.
