[Blind Mind’s Eye] Private contractors in Iraq: According to another source, they fired three warning shots into the ground and continued on. Anyone else see how damn stupid you’d have to be to not pull over to the side of the road slowly and indentify yourself to the marines? Especially after that Italian government agent was killed by friendly fire, you’d think that the private contractors would want to make sure that the military knew exactly who they were and where they were going so as to not risk becoming the next victims of friendly fire.

According to the marines, 19 employees of Zapata Engineering, including 16 Americans, were detained after a marine patrol in Falluja reported being fired on by a convoy of trucks and sports utility vehicles. The marines also claim to have seen gunmen in the convoy fire at civilians.
