Iraq Reviews > Lieberman: Coulter’s Favorite Democrat

Grouchy’s Liberaltopia[Grouchy’s Liberaltopia] Coulter derided the lawmakers who have called for a redeployment strategy from Iraq, questioning whether “FDR [had] to deal with this during World War II.” She argued that the only type of politician she “admires” is someone like Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-CT) because he “does want to defend America and fight the war on terrorism.” Lieberman has argued “our troops must stay” in Iraq.

As in 1994, this revolution will be driven by the young Turks of the party -- the brave backbenchers more inspired by Reagan than the possibility of a glowing editorial on the pages of the New York Times. Sullivan occasionally understands this, but then his mind lapses back into fantasyland noodlings about how, gee, maybe this whole project really could have a happy ending if we just hang in there a few more months.
