Lets Play Nice With Murderous, Kidnapping Thugs
[RightPundit] With people like Andrew Jaspan providing rhetorical cover, it is no wonder the terrorist insurgents keep kidnapping and killing people in Iraq. He gives the terrorists reason to believe that the horrors of their actions will not be covered in the Western old media and that their efforts will instead be lauded.

[My View From Las Vegas] War Against War: Having realized that, under the terms of his own doctrine, there could be no meaningful peace process so long as the Palestinians were living under the tyrannical, kleptocratic, and murderous regime led by Arafat, Bush now made American support of a Palestinian state contingent upon the emergence of new leaders who would devote themselves to building "entirely new political and economic institutions based on democracy, market economics, and action against terrorism." In the meantime, Israel was justified in defending itself by military and other means, including through the security fence beginning to be built by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.
[Such Little Things] A Voter's Yes/No Guide To Bush vs. Kerry: Kerry's campaign promises could still hit taxpayers with a $226 billion blow, on top of the 29 percent spending run-up under George W. Bush's term.Based on Kerry's promise to "pay for" every program he has proposed, U.S. taxpayers would each face an average additional $2,206 in higher taxes during Kerry's first year in office, and a cumulative increased tax burden of $6,066 over his first term."By exempting a series of major discretionary categories, Kerry's so-called 'strong' spending caps are actually so porous as to be no more effective than the restraints George W.

He had spoken his mind and had shown the photos of Iraqi children seriously injured by American unconventional weapons, cluster bombs which cut through metal as if it were a warm knife going through butter.
[Gseis.ucla.edu] Blog Left: Critical Interventions Warblog (war blog, Iraq ...: Shortly after the release of Bushs speech, Kerry told reporters that Bush had failed to present a true picture of Iraq to the United Nations and does not have the credibility to lead the world.'' In his first press conference since over a month, Kerry insisted that Bush really has no credibility at this point
He has no credibility with foreign leaders who hear him come before them and talk as if everything is going well, and they see that we can't even protect the people on the ground [in Iraq] for the election.'' Keeping up his theme that Bush lived in a fantasy world of ideology, Kerry insisted that the president needs to live in the world of reality.'' Hammering Bush for failing to persuade world leaders to help out in Iraq, Kerry concluded: After lecturing them, instead of leading them to understand how we are all together with a stake in the outcome of Iraq, I believe the president missed an opportunity of enormous importance for our nation and for the world
He does not have the credibility to lead the world. And he did not and will not offer the leadership in order to do what we need to do to protect our troops, to be successful, and win the war on terror in an effective way.''
