[Al-Muhajabah's Islamic Blogs] During the week, Smith published an article in the Los Angeles Times revealing a bit more about how he got all the leaked memos and setting out what he thinks is the real story, the bombing campaign. Smith published another version of this article in the Sunday Times adding some information and commentary that didn't appear in the LA Times.

[The Great Minnesota Progressive Newswire] Shredding Social Security: A Town Hall Meeting and DC Rally: By golly, there are! Indeed, the name of one of our favorite CR's, the brand new deputy chair of the Republican Party of Minnesota, Eric Hoplin is listed on the "Fix Our Future Team." The pedigrees of the team seem awfully alike for a group billing itself "a non-partisan, nationwide effort." This group has a family tree that doesn't fork.
[Third Estate Sunday Review] Media Roundtable: No one can find anything, again only Ruth and her granddaughter have been able to find one article from The Guardian written by them, so I want to note, for the record, this online chat from The Washington Post with Michael Smith who has been the one breaking the stories on this at The Sunday Times of London.
[Juancole.com] Informed Comment: Ishraqat al-Sadr carries on page 1 a 100-word report citing Muqtada al-Sadr calling on the Iraqi Government to "refrain from accusing the Arab Sunnis of backing terrorism." Al-Sadr is cited as saying that such accusations "kindle sectarian strife," adding that the government must "include all Iraqis in the political process." Ishraqat al-Sadr runs on page 1 a 150-word report citing Muqtada al-Sadr accusing the US forces of "collaborating with terrorists," during a meeting with Karbala Governorate Council, adding that "the Ba'thists, terrorists, and occupation" Are enemies of Iraq. Ishraqat al-Sadr publishes on page 1 a 300-word text of a statement issued by the Iraqi Elites Group calling on the Iraqi Government to release detainees belonging to the Al-Sadr trend.
[Blog.wilsonet.com] Membranophonists Ramblings: Cunningham has elicited sharp public criticism since Copley News Service, in an article published Sunday in The San Diego Union-Tribune, disclosed that he sold his Del Mar house in November 2003 to Mitchell Wade, a defense contractor. Wade put the Del Mar house back on the market shortly after buying it, where it remained unsold and vacant for more than eight months.
[Oregonlive.com] OregonLive.com: The Oregonian's Iraq Blog: He was on tour through Iraq with some beautiful actress and I ran into .You can read Joe's blog here.

[Dailywarnews.blogspot.com] Today in Iraq: A clear hierarchy of decision-making: What the Downing Street memo confirms for the first time is that President Bush had decided, no later than July 2002, to "remove Saddam, through military action," that war with Iraq was "inevitable"”and that what remained was simply to establish and develop the modalities of justification; that is, to come up with a means of "justifying" the war and "fixing" the "intelligence and facts...around the policy." The great value of the discussion recounted in the memo, then, is to show, for the governments of both countries, a clear hierarchy of decision-making.
