When Does the Iraq War Expire? : The New Argument

[Institute for War & Peace Reporting: Reporting Central Asia] As part of its continuing commitment to bolster Iraqi media, IWPR is soon to launch a safety course for journalists in the country- called Safety and Security and Legal Protection. The training is intended to introduce the western model of hostile environment training to Iraqi journalists, and will also provide training on media law.

[Baghdad Bureau] (The line about not changing Iraqis was probably more appropriate for our leaders.) Almost all is trite information–Iraqis are different, the land is different, the food is different, treat the people with respect and they are more likely to help you, etc.. Unless there are more specifics, this book strikes me more as an interesting artifact of a period in American history when almost all Americans had no way of knowing about life outside of their hometown, let alone their state or country.
